Hi, I’m Talia
I am so excited to be running as your Greens candidate for Eildon
I’m a First Nations Organiser, I’m a local mum, I’m hoping to be a home owner, and I’ve worked with the community for most of my career. I’m a deep listener, who cares about people and thinks outside the box.
I’m passionate about politics because I care about our community. I will be a local representative who listens, advocates and works hard to deliver real outcomes for people.
Housing and homelessness are amongst the most important issues to me because everyone deserves a safe, secure and affordable place to call home.
I am calling for increased investment in public and genuinely affordable housing, stronger renters’ rights and addressing the underlying causes of homelessness.
The Greens track record
In the balance of power in parliament the Greens have secured:
$60 million to protect nature and get homes and businesses off gas
Renting reforms including banning no grounds evictions and rental bidding
5000 more empty homes available by making the tax on empty homes stronger
$150 million for bike lanes and pedestrian safety
Proudly supported the first Treaty in Australia
Stopped the renewal of the MoU with Israeli Ministry of Defence
